Charters
Charter Reservation Fee is earned upon placing a hold for desired date
and time. This Reservation fee will be credited towards the Charter Fee
Total upon signing of Charter Contract. In the event of a cancellation by
the Captain of the Shearwater due to severe weather conditions or
mechanical failure, the Charterer will be offered two (2) alternative
dates prior to October 15 of the current season to reschedule at no
additional charge. Refunds are not offered. Catered goods are the
property of the Charterer and must be paid for prior to the charter date.
In the event of a postponement, catering can be delivered within
Manhattan at no additional cost. Severe weather is determined solely by
the Captain of the vessel. Charterer's requests for rescheduling will be
considered on a case by case basis and are subject to a rescheduling fee
which is calculated as up to 25% of the total charter cost, excluding
taxes.
Public Sails
In the event of a cancellation by the Captain of the Shearwater due to
severe weather conditions or mechanical failure, customers will be
rescheduled at no additional fee. Refunds are not offered. A 24-hour
notice is required for rescheduling at no extra charge. A $10.00 per
passenger surcharge is required for a reschedule within 24 hours.
For groups of 10 or more, the rescheduling fee is $20/person for requests
received within one week of the scheduled sail date.
